A day at the Cabral's

Today I spent the day at my parents house at a BBQ with family and friends - Marie had to work and had a friend coming in from out of town or you can bet she would have been there :). I pretty much spent the entire day eating and consumed more food in one day than any individual probably should in a single day but there was a lot of food there and I had to try some of everything. OK, so I did much more than just "try" each thing; it's probably more accurate to say that I tried each thing and then decided it was good enough for seconds or thirds or...

Debbie prepared all sorts of salads, side dishes, and desserts for the BBQ - each one better than the other.

Ose and Moises grilled the meat (I think we had 2 different types of sausage, 2 or 3 different types of steak, chicken, and shrimp). As seen in the picture above, the best pieces of steak never made it inside for everyone to try but I guess we weren't the ones slaving over the grill so we didn't "deserve" them as much. Of course, those of us who found out their little secret ended up spending more time outside by the grill but only to keep the "grill masters" company.

Mom supervised and served as quality control for all the food and food preparation. And then... we got to eat...

Here's Ose's friend Katie enjoying the smörgåsbord.

The Cabral kids... you know, just being the Cabral kids :).

Dan and Moises's dad conversing about who the heck knows what - looks intense but it really wasn't.

And, of course, a few pictures of the center of attention, Dani.

Hanging out with my dad on the deck.

Getting completely sucked in playing with Ose's new iPhone! I NEED ONE! OK, maybe not NEED but definitely WANT one, REALLY, REALLY WANT one!

Can't be all play... so we (alright, we is too many people - they is much more accurate) took advantage of the fact that Ose drove his truck down to Provo (after being told to drive his truck instead of his non-gas-hogging car down to Provo) and loaded it up "ghetto style" to clear out my parents garage and take stuff over to their storage unit.

And, of course, a group picture (without Dan, who had to leave early for work; Moises's younger sister, Mariana, who was taking a nap; and Katie who served as photographer).
